Piazza Del Campo, Siena's civic and social centre since the 14th century was our destination today.
Another remarkable landmark with the Torre del Mangia bell tower soaring of the piazza. Then onto the amazing duomo, Siena's cathederal one of Italy's great gothic churches. We visited the Museo Dell ,Opera and of course the Cathederal itself. The Cathederal was started in 1196 and completed in 1215 with a talented Giovanni Pisano responsible for much of the sculpures found in the Cathederal. Off to Firenze tomorrow.
